Can you believe it? After at least a YEAR (maybe 2?) I have a blog! And eight of you figured out it was here before I was done and somewhat knew what I was doing.
Thanks to my great husband for believing I could do this without getting addicted and still do the wife/mom thing while juggling 100 cyber friends. Thanks also to our good friend Tom who did it all then typed out a 20 step instruction process on how to post. I may be a blogger, but I am still a blonde; the learning curve has been sharp and steep, and now I can’t rest on my laurels of the accomplishment of learning just to cut and paste in 2006. Now, hallelujah, I know how to pdf and discovered the magical ‘right’ click of that mouse. How did I live without this knowledge?
Thanks aditionally to Natasha at Mental Mayhem, who got me hooked on reading blogs for MSM-free news. She was debating Athena about honor-killings, and when I opened the link to her blog I said “This girl has GOT to be a Twal. Is this blog world really so small? You are telling me girl, about the censoring thing…I just finished a piece that I know will get chopped to bits. Unless you meant about censorship in our beloved country, in which case yes, I will be careful to let peopel express themselves. Just that we Christians have this 10 Commandment thing, where not ‘using God’s name in vain’ is one of our big no-nos. I want it to be a G-rated blog (whoops…just lost my audience!) as profanity-free as possible. But if there is truly no other word that works, Oula, you may be free to use it. You don’t use gratuitous profanity as a rule, and you are a word-crafter who has a large vocab…so comment as you like!
BTW…I have a teeny-weeny little Christmas gift for you from the cookie party. How can I arrange to get it to you?
