Let’s See Who is Reading Blogs and Changing Jordan!

By kinziblogs

Ok, Dave-an-American-in-Jordan (no link yet, sorry, still blonde) has yet another post about how something complained about on the Jordan blog aggregaters has been CHANGED! Since I don’t think any of us are seriously praying to God about these things (ok, maybe over Skype there were some frantic prayers) either we have a blog fairy answering our gripes or Someone Else is listening. And I don’t think it is They Who Must Not Be Named (who are actually good guys there for our protection…just joking, guys :)

So I am going to do a little test. Even though I am Not An Issues Blogger, I am going to complain formally and LOUDLY ABOUT HOW NO EXPENSIVE TICKETS ARE GIVEN TO THOSE WHO GO STRAIGHT FROM LEFT TURN ONLY LANES. CAN YOU HEAR ME SHOUTING? I want to see police, in action, daily, pulling over these insane people who force others WHO ARE OBEYING THE LAW into the right lane, forcing the other law-abiders in the other straight ahead lane INTO THE CURB. And thus, into the greatest conspiracy theory of all…that bad driving in Jordan is a conspiracy of the auto-repair industry of Wadi Isseir!

If I don’t see this, I am going to follow through with the threat I told the kids about. I will make my own signs, in BAD Arabic, with BAD words, and post them at strategic intersections. My kids are begging me not to, knowing they will be in the car with me and be totally embarrassed again by their crazy mother. So. We’ll see who’s watching!

I hope someone will hear that Kinzi.. the first time i know you have lovely essence of anger ;)

  2. kinziblogs Says:

Thanks, Red Rose! Yes, people who endangered my kids on the road used to face Kinzi-klass road rage as they have not seen before. I’ve hit them intentionally, run them off the road, gotten out of my car and banged on their windows and screamed at them in bad Arabic. BUT, thanks be to God, Who deals gently with my anger issues and has mercy on bad drivers, now I just pray for God to bless those who drive badly…and plan to put up signs!

    Go for it Kizi!!!

  4. kinziblogs Says:

Wahoo, Summer-mom, you’re making me feel like an activist again!

  5. Dima Says:

By the way most of them are TAXI drivers!

  6. kinziblogs Says:

Hi Dima! Actually, I have kept mental statistics at two certain lights and the worst offenders are older men in kafiyyas driving old Toyotas, the other are young guys with cool sunglasses in silver SUVs or black sedan-type cars.

  7. Dima Says:

yeah maybe,,, but with me (I dunno how), everytime anything crazy and unacceptable happens while driving.. it would be a TAXI driver.

But we can’t forget the cool young guys with sunglasses (sometimes with silver windows too) of course :)

  8. kinziblogs Says:

Heh-heh, Dima, at least teh cool guys are nicer for you girls to look at!

  9. Rebecca Says:

I got in a taxi the other day (driven by an older man in a kafiyya– don’t remember if it was a toyota), and the first thing he does is start launching into how all the OTHER drivers are so awful. It was all I could do to not laugh. ;)

  10. kinziblogs Says:

Rebecca, that is one reason I can’t complain TOO much about taxi drivers…they are SO entertaining! good to see you here again!

  11. Dave Says:

    Power to the people!

  12. kinziblogs Says:

Yea, Dave! Speak it! Power, at least to those who abide by traffic laws; to the rest, tickets! Expensive tickets!
