I’ve been wanting to do this for a LONG time…get all the JP/JB/QP bloggers to take the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) test and see what comes up! Someone beat me to it, and if I mention her name again, she’s going to think I am stalking her or something
: no, she just makes me laugh so hard and inspires me (yes, you are an ENFP!) I can’t help it.
***UPDATE*** Hala (The Rambling One) assures me it is an honor to be mentioned, she doesn’t think I am stalking – or that I am the one who comments 40+ times or submits her name to Wikipedia!
Taking this test twenty years ago REALLY helped me accept who I am and run in my strengths, instead of wallowing in my weaknesses. It helped in work relationships and has even been a source of fun for my husband and I because we WERE complete and total opposites! Heh-heh, now we have a letter in common
. Guess who changed?)
I am an incurable optimist, and think if people could just get this concept, really the world would be a better place. Workplaces would definitely be better places, as it provides a groundwork for discussion of differences. I think ALL of Jordan would benefit! It is just SO much better than horoscopes!
This is not the extended test, but here are my results:
***You Are An ENFJ***
The Giver
You strive to maintain harmony in relationships, and usually succeed.
Articulate and enthusiastic, you are good at making personal connections.
Sometimes you idealize relationships too much – and end up being let down.
You find the most energy and comfort in social situations … where you shine.
You would make a good writer, human resources director, or psychologist.
What’s Your Personality Type?
This is not the extended test, but it is a start:

You Are An ISFJ
The Nurturer
You have a strong need to belong, and you very loyal.
A good listener, you excell at helping others in practical ways.
In your spare time, you enjoy engaging your senses through art, cooking, and music.
You find it easy to be devoted to one person, who you do special things for.
You would make a good interior designer, chef, or child psychologist.
How did they know I like to cook? There wasn’t a single cooking question on there!
I need a reminder thought what these I’s and E’s and F’s and J’s all mean.
March 19, 2007 at 8:35 am |
Summer, yes, I’d love to see your results! Then tell your boss he needs to have all the employees take it!
Jad, thanks for taking time out of your inner world to visit and test! What excellent qualities are there, guy! From the little I know of you, spot on. Hey, did you know you itooters are in VIVA this month, too?
Rebecca, again, no big surprise! I think cooking comes into play with practical, helpful, special things done for others.
Someone correct me if I mess up:
I = Introverted (you get your energy from being alone)
E = Extroverted (“” “”"”"”"”" w/ people)
N – Intuitive
S = Subjective
F = Feeling
T = Thinking
P = Perceiving
J = Judging
It doesn’t mean people are judgemental, lack feeling or intuition, it is how we personally process information and move forward in ideas or relationships. It’s such a great way to recognize and receive yourself the way God made you to be, but then have a ’safe’ understanding of areas needing building or personality traits that annoy certain other types..

iam an ENFP

Incredibly perceptive, you can usually sense if someone has hidden motives.
You use lots of colorful language and expressions. You’re qutie the storyteller!
You would make an excellent entrepreneur, politician, or journalist.
March 19, 2007 at 9:29 am |
***You Are An ESFJ***
The Caregiver
You are sympathetic and caring, putting friends and family first.
A creature of habit, you prefer routines and have trouble with change.
You love being in groups – whether you’re helping people or working on a project.
You are good at listening, laughing, and bringing out the best in people.
You would make a great nurse, social worker, or teacher.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeet
thanks Kizi

Wedad, do you see yourself there? I was an ENFP, but moved toward a J recently. Really, have the Jeeran team take this test…:D
Mai…heh-heh, again, no surprises!! Sweets for the sweet. This is what my Mom was
.

I think this is very close to where I am ….Although, there are many things that I would normally answer as both answers. I found it too restrictive, but had to pick the better choice … anyway… here you go:
You Are An ENTP
The Visionary
You are charming, outgoing, friendly. You make a good first impression.
You possess good negotiating skills and can convince anyone of anything.
Happy to be the center of attention, you love to tell stories and show off.
You’re very clever, but not disciplined enough to do well in structured environments.
You would make a great entrpreneur, marketing executive, or actor.
March 19, 2007 at 11:07 am |
Hi Qwaider! Thanks for doing this…I’m surprised it isn’t a part of your on-going leadership development at your work – except that it is obvious you are a visionary! If you take the FULL comprehensive test (maybe 100 or more questions) from the MB website, it makes more sense when they ask you to choose between two of your life-navigation techniques. I would say you are disciplined, though.

Ok Kinzi, i am back with the results..here they are:

i may disagree with some results but in general, it is a fair way to tell about me!
March 19, 2007 at 11:35 am |
Summer (whoops, in my precoffee fog I thought you were Salam!) I am not surprised! Except I do see you as one subject to authority and rules,
BUT, here is a trend… 3 female ENFP bloggers, (and one former ENFP!) I think there is a certain percentage of population that are ENFP, but an early look would show a disproportionate number of ENFPs blogging. Is that just because ENFPs love tests and flock together? We’ll see.
March 19, 2007 at 12:35 pm |
Hehehehe habibti! of course I dont mind if you mention my name again! Bil 3aks, it’s an honour!

Giggle…thanks Hala, I will edit accordingly!! You are just so INSPIRING!!
March 19, 2007 at 1:26 pm |
Very true about cooking for others. Cooking for myself seems pointless. But I love to spend an afternoon by myself cooking something new so I can share it with a few close friends in the evening!
March 19, 2007 at 2:44 pm |
Kinzi-
Ooohh- my favorite! I’ve taken it several times and I am always an ENFJ! Great minds think alike! Another thing I think is interesting is that my mom and I have an extremely close relationship and she is an INFJ. If you met us, you’d know right away that I’m more outgoing and she more reserved. I’ve always wondered if she encouraged my outgoing-ness as a result of her own shyness? The old nurture vs. nature argument.
Anyway, great idea for a tag!

Em, too funny! I’m hoping I get a chance to see the two of you in action!

Hi,
My first comment on your website..I studied this in change managemnt class, and I do research in change management..Some stats that you may find intersting:
INTROVERTS (45-50%)
EXTROVERTS (50-55%)
SENSING (65-70%)
INTUITIVE (30-35%)
THINKERS (45-55%)
FEELERS (45-55% Women
JUDGING (55-60%)
PERCEIVING (40-45%)
This indicator can explain conflicts, and differences between people.. Mine is INTJ, but the thing is I don’t remember my result when I took 2 years ago, but I am sure it changed; people tend to change as they grow, it all depends on the experinces you had in your life..It would be interesting if people take it every now and then and see how they changed with time..
Nice blog:)

You Are An INTP
The Thinker
You are analytical and logical – and on a quest to learn everything you can.
Smart and complex, you always love a new intellectual challenge.
Your biggest pet peeve is people who slow you down with trivial chit chat.
A quiet maverick, you tend to ignore rules and authority whenever you feel like it.
You would make an excellent mathematician, programmer, or professor.
