Yeesh, the pool of safe, legal vices continues to shrink. I gave up Diet Pepsi last summer for health reasons and a STEP toward giving up products containing gum arabic in solidarity with Sudanese friends. I guess this will force me to stop flirting with the idea and do the research I have been putting off.

:S! Everyday we get some report about how unhealthy the food we take! Thanks for sharing this Kinzi. I guess we should try to be moderate in everything we eat/drink.

Thanks for this, Kinzi. I just printed it off to read to the kiddos tomorrow. Perhaps it will curtail their enjoyment of soft drinks a little so that they relegate them to “special occasion” drinks only.
I have a soft drink only once in a great while. I enjoy their taste but can’t help but think of them as a sugar and chemical cocktail.

Yes, moderation is important. But about consuming everything in excess, does excessive moderation count too?
