Cool fog, eh? Have to give a hand to Ammani drivers ysterday. I was out all day in different areas, and was REALLY impressed with the way folks drove: carefully, good speed, good spacing between cars, using lights and flashers when it was so thick you couldn’t see the car in front. It reminded me of my beach-girl days in Corona Del Mar, watching that thick fog roll in. The kids asked to drive by Jordan Gates to see if the towers were visible, nyet!
Oakbrook is the WORST about those potholes. I’m surprised they don’t snap the wheels off the car. Amman is vastly superior in road care. I can’t get over that, how BAD the roads in Chicago can be when one pays SO dearly in taxes and tolls. GAM gets the award, Oakbrook (and ALL Chicagoland) needs to come over here and learn how it’s done.
For those who will defend Chicago, I know…Amman doesn’t deal with the temperature extremes or the excessive moisture or traffic. But still, yani, it’s Chicago, it’s America. Maybe Chicago should apply for a USAID grant for infrastructure repair.
I am serious, 3anjad no sarcasm. I must say, though, there are some funny ways of dealing with potholes here. I was driving through Rabia, and there was a large pothole that has been growing larger for a couple weeks. Clever, clever way to alert drivers: put a dumpster over it! No chance of getting stuck in a sink hole.
OK back to work. Can you believe, I am still sitting in my PJs. This break isnt’ so bad, I don’t have to be west Ammani presentable at 9am to face all those school mommies who would ask me if I am sick if I don’t have make-up on.
Yum, working on my coffee and wondering when it would it would be decent to have another Sees candy lollypop. Have a great day!

Seriously, Kinzi…I am so so fed up with potholes in Chicago – particularly Oakbrook… They are so unavoidable….Oakbrook is a rich suburb too, so I’m not sure why they neglect the roads the way they do. I try avoiding the potholes, but there are so many that perhaps the most effective way of doing it is driving on the sidewalk!(which doesn’t really exist
)
Amman though has plenty of ‘bumps’ and those suck almost more …
LOL… don’t be caught without makeup in West Amman…. did I tell you about the time I wanted to go out to safeway in my PJs? My cousins refused to go out the door until I put one ‘decent clothes.’ …
Have a great day, too

Iman, with ya, hon. Oakbrook is not Lawndale, rich people wreck their expensive cars on Butterfield, where is the OUTRAGE? LOL driving on the sidewalk, but as you said, there arent’ any!
Yes, hah-hah, people get SO upset when I go out without make-up, it’s like the want to protect my reputation from myself (”Yes, she looks sick, but she’s not always this way, really, she takes care of herself…”) BUT YABAYAY, Safeway in PJs? That is where one goes to catch a man (oh no, that’s Cozmo), so maybe better only wear PJs toteh loacl dukaaneh.

Every time I sink in a pothole, I say: “ouch.” and “sorry baby!” (I apologize to my car!LOL) then I curse the city! and i apologize to my car again for cursing
Pothole are not covered and Rims are expensive!!
LOL.. haven’t been to cozmo… but I tried going to the local dokaneh and that didn’t work either. Heck, if I step out on the veranda with PJs I get lectured…
Today, I shall remember to avoid the unavoidable potholes.
