Sigh.

I’m happy that you got SOMETHING, but unhappy that you will have to threaten & cajole to get the *whole* payment. Unhappy at the lack of professionalism in the industry.
Summer, thank you sweetie, I hope so (I got your email! Next post explains why I didn’t write today I am very excited for you, and have a couple things to tell. Bukra, malesh?
Hi Observer! Min zamaaaan! Did you mean to write “Marbook”? It is so cute! Kinda like the dyslexic bunny bopped you on da head!
Brian, sigh, this is life in Jordan for free-lancers. Bust your behind to get in with a magazine, and then beg to be paid (not Al Faridah nor Front Row Publishing, just to be clear). This guys takes the wind out of my sails. I do like your motto, though, and I am looking into contracts. Do you have a sample?
Ziad, even partial payment IS great!
Umm Zaid, thanks for sharing my partial joy and knowing what lies ahead. This guy is a crafty fox, paying that which is 90 days overdue, leaving me to beg for the 30 days overdue bit. Knowing I am traveling, he has no intention of paying before then. Makes me want to get nasty, but as you say, I will not lower my standards of professionalism to match his. God sees
