ACTION TIME!!! Yella Ya Shabaab

(Ok, being an old blonde with cancer, I missed I was supposed to post this. Duh. So, drumroll…..)

Give it up, bloggers. I don’t want to see you just post this thing, I want to see every single blogger who lives in Amman donating at LEAST one package to this outreach. How much have you given this Ramadan? How about giving until it hurts, not just from the 20JD weekend cost of coffee out, shisha and a movie? For many of these families, they hurt from hunger whether it is Ramadan or a regular day. Iftar is not a feast like we are enjoying, but the simple stuff that people used to break fast with in the old days.

Instead of giving your favorite older nieces and nephews cash for Eid, tell them you have fed a family with what you would have given them.

You know your uncles and aunts are going to give it up for YOU. Give in advance

I’d like for Nas and Sara to report that that bloggers contributed 1,000JD to this project, minimum.

I think our church is going to participate in this. If our church is, shouldn’t you?

It’s that time of the year again folks and hopefully we can rally together to make a difference in the lives of a few citizens. The Action Committee has started its food drive for Ramadan and your help is needed! The Ramadan food package is going to cost 20JDs and will contain:

3 kg Rice
3 kg Sugar
2 kg Beans
2 kg Lentils
6 Packs of Pasta
2 Cans Tomato Paste
1 kg Tea
2 A’mar Eldin
1 Oil
½ kg Dates
12 packs Maggie

The drive is underway and will last for the next week or so, depending on the donations. The Action Committee is targeting the last 10 days of Ramadan for distribution.

So tell a friend, tell a family member, tell the neighbor, tell the people at work, even the weird guy who sits in the corner of the office and who no one talks to; this could be your chance.
