Move Over, Starbucks…Time for a FULL CUP!

Since December, after Jad Madi blogged about it, I’ve been wanting to try a cup of coffee from Full Cup.

The fact they were donating to Gaza motivated me, I just love it when small-businesses set such a great example of social responsibility. I wanted to get there then, to contribute a bit to their cause and show solidarity with their commitment, but alas, was I busy with The Hub traveling and studying and not stopping in the 5th Circle area much. (I’m really only in the area if a kid has a broken bone, as Dr. Amr is there!)

Yesterday, I got to do so. This is ‘visit-every-medical-professional-I-neglected-during-cancer’ week, and I needed a pick-me-up after all the blood-letting, probing and poking. I ordered something that sounded like “Mochaccino”, and it was SO YUMMY.

Now I understand why people do this regularly. I liked Starbucks coffee, but truth be told, I make better coffee than they do for a fraction of the cost. I didn’t really understand all the fuss, unless it was about those 1,000 calorie frappo drinks. Full Cup isn’t cheap, but hey, Ali is a blogger and local businessman worth supporting. And it was worth it! Man-Child found the cup in the car and downed the last bit, proclaiming: “You never told me coffee tasted this good”. Oops.

So if you, like me, planned on stopping by but never did, put Full Cup back on your planner. I think us blogger gals should have a gathering there, for the sake of local economic stimulus, of course. ;)

**UPDATE: Full Cup is open every weekday from 7:30 AM until midnight.  Fridays,  from 2:00 PM until midnight.

  5. I always thought Starbucks coffee tastes a little — over-roasted? Not really sure how do describe it. Glad you guys are able to find a local business that makes good coffee!
