Good news from the JT today that HM King Abdullah has exempted public school students from paying fees. You can help continue the good news for local students and parents by participating in the Action Committee’s program to provide kid’s with school bags containing needed supplies:
So its back to school time and parents are busy buying things for their own kids
but others can not live the joy of having new bags and stationary.
If you want to spread the joy ,join our back to school campaign.
Project Name : Back to School campaign
Time : From 25-8 till 5-9 (2009)
Our Goal : Preparing school bags for needy boys and girls
Target : 150-200 minimum

A- 10 JDs
B- 15 JDs
Each bag will be offered in diffrent colors and contain good quality stationary, note books, book binding papers , and other necessary supplies.
Together we can make a difference, and ONE JD can make a difference too. We really appreciate your support and donations.

Layla, thx!!
I was glad to hear they’re doing it, but perhaps slightly offput by the money only call… For me, I like to buy the things that give me a more personal connection to the child. I imagine the little boy (or girl) using the bag, their joy in receiving it. Somehow giving someone 10 JDs just doesn’t give me the same visceral connection. Oh well, I’ll give anyway and see if TetaBean can find some needy recipients for the bags I already bought in anticipation of the bag drive.
Thank you Kinizi
for support
Mb, wow, you win for prepared giver of the week! There is a sentence up there stating they need help with packing and distribution, too, so you could see those precious little faces. This is something that can be duplicated wherever the need is, though, and so Teta’s connections just spread the love.
Let me know if you do, I’ll try both.
Qabbani, my honor.
So glad it’s up and running again. I’m a little in “slow motion” but I have things to donate, too. Last year was great fun packing the bags and taking them to Baq’aa.
