Best of JO Blogs 4th Week of January

First, the funny stuff:

Roba decodes the cheek-kissing protocol.

Shalabi decodes Arab Moms

Babs on Bins

Check out a newish blogger I am enjoying, Sum Of Mind.

The serious

Roba on taxation without representation. Since she is only half a citizen, why not pay half the taxes? Nermeen Murad adds a small glimmer of hope in the JT.

Nas on the pic-burning. For perspective: two years is longer than honor-murderers spent in prison until recently. That said, I think the kid is insane for doing such a thing and should benefit from that condition.

Maysaloon, man on the ground in Dimasq. Pray for Syria in these critical 48 hours to come.

  1. The idea behind Reader’s Digest magazine was to collect the best and most interesting articles from different newspapers and magazines and republish/rewrite them in a small pocket size magazine. It used to be my favorite magazine when I was a teen.
Everyday I read Qwiader’s and itoot blog aggregators but because there are too many blogs now sometimes I skip many.
Your “Best of JO Blogs” is like Reader’s Digest of blogs :) Keep it up.

  2. Babs

    Am honoured, thx Kinzi!
