Best of the JO Blogs 1st Week of February 2012

Coolest image of the week (from Roba, of course)

One of the beginning bloggers Batir tells his story of becoming an environmentalist

Another of the original bloggers, Devil’s Mind, on a subject  we can somewhat agree on. We disagree on most, so when there is one we have a thread of connection, gotta mention it :)

Roba on losing a blogger one of her own generation, to cancer

A book comes out with themes of honor, and is sort-of, kind-of banned in Jordan. I think that is what he says.

Shooof on The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Not sure I can subject my soul to the visual of that book.

Sum encounters ignorance in discussing women’s issues. Chapter VVXI

Al Bawaba links me a lot, now I get to return the favor. An ajnebi affirms Arabian passion: “Like sugar, or a beautiful woman, Arab passion turns an ordinary situation into something extraordinary. Instead of a hello, you get a poem. Instead of a handshake, you get a kiss. Instead of a card, you get a gift. Instead of directions to the park, they drive you there. And instead of a friend, you get a brother.”

Oh wow, almost forgot Jaraad. Gotta love a guy who celebrates the female form sans silicon. Just an fyi I heard from a friend with augmentation: her husband mentioned that her breasts are always cool to the touch. Size was fun, but he preferred the warmth.

  1. Wow I made it for the first time to your “best of Jo blogs”!! I’m honored! ;)

  2. Thanks Kinzi… I always get this blog through email, but it makes commenting a little harder. Hope things are good :)
